Speaker ~ Author ~ Mental Health Advocate ~ Real Life Adventurer.
Scott Soutter is not your average storyteller—he’s a lived-experience powerhouse with a voice that turns pain into purpose, mistakes into momentum, and hardship into hope. His journey spans from the depths of personal challenges to global adventuring and spiritual awakening—and he’s only just getting started!
A survivor of a turbulent childhood and dysfunction, Scott was born into a world that taught him early how to hide pain behind silence. A sickly, anxious child, raised in an environment of chaos and emotional absence, he carried the scars of his past well into adulthood. But when life brought him to his knees, it also cracked him open. What began as a breakdown became a breakthrough.
Scott rebuilt himself from the inside out—first by learning how to breathe again, then by discovering the power of deep personal development. He immersed himself in meditation, rewired his belief system with NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), and Emotional Literacy doing the real work : showing up every day to become his greatest version of himself. Now, Scott spends most of his days free of the chaos, in peace, grounded in purpose, and dedicated to sharing what he’s learned with others.
But Scott’s journey doesn’t stop at healing. It’s filled with the kind of real-life Netflix adventure series. From a young man who has battled being dyslexic and had to repeat Year 10 three times, he now speaks four languages learned not in classroom, but in the school of life once while running a black-market alcohol trade in Saudi Arabia—with a few billionaires on speed dial. His adventure of salvaging rare porcelain from centuries-old shipwrecks in Southeast Asia, consulting with European investors flying in on private jets, and captivated crowds of 200+ with powerful storytelling that helped several companies develop foundations to achieve strong growth to better serve their clients.
And through it all, his greatest discovery wasn’t buried treasure—it was the truth of who he really is.
Scott's childhood struggle with Dyslexia and traditional education became his strength in adulthood. What was once seen as a learning difficulty has become his greatest gift. Whether he’s presenting to international investors, training frontline mental health workers, or connecting with a room full of teens, Scott speaks with raw honesty, deep intention, and magnetic authenticity.
Since 2021, he’s been working professionally in the mental health sector, earning his Cert III in Disability and Cert IV in Mental Health. But Scott’s been showing up for people long before any formal training. He understands how to hold space for pain, guide people through darkness, and inspire them with hope—not because he read about it in a textbook, but because he’s lived it.
His debut book, The Boy on the Log, is a bold and deeply personal memoir that blends wild adventure with powerful inner transformation. From the deserts of the Middle East to the depths of the ocean—and the even deeper work of emotional healing—it’s a story of second chances, self-discovery, and the resilience of the human spirit.
The book’s title was inspired by a profound meditation where Scott met his inner child—sitting alone on a log. In that moment, the dots of his life began to connect. Now, he hopes to help others connect theirs.
Scott’s mission is clear: to use his story to speak into the hearts of young people, men battling silent struggles, and anyone who needs a reminder that no matter where you start, it’s never too late to change your path.
Scott mission is to show others “Look what’s possible.”
