Support Worker of the Year

I want to say a genuine thank you to my company, my Area Managers, Supervisors, and my peers for voting me Support Worker of the Year on the Sunshine Coast.

This work has never been about awards for me. The real reward is the quiet moments when a participant tells you that you’ve helped them — those small shifts in confidence or independence. That feeling alone is enough.

But having my peers and managers recognise my efforts as well… that means a lot. It tells me the way I show up is making a difference, and that makes this year — and the last few feel pretty special.

I’m grateful to be part of a team that supports each other and gives people the chance to live fuller, more empowered lives. Thank you for the acknowledgment, and thank you for trusting me with work that truly matters.
