Batam — Jungle Ride with My Brother Gino
That day in Batam will stay with me forever. Gino, my Indonesian brother from another mother and his mates welcomed me into their world like family. We rode through the jungle for four hours in the hot, wet mud, laughing, sliding, and helping each other along the way.

Watching the camaraderie they shared was truly inspiring. There was one strong, happy woman riding with us too, Pak Cahyo partner and together they all showed me what respect, love, and real friendship look like. Each one of them carried a genuine, unconditional happiness for one another.

Even though we come from different worlds and may see life differently, every single one of them walked and rode beside me that day with nothing but good hearts. All they ever wanted was to see me happy and enjoying the moment.
Every time I go to Indonesia, it reminds me to slow down, breathe it in, and just be. To keep growing. To keep learning how to be a better person. That muddy ride wasn’t just a ride, it was a lesson in connection, respect, and pure joy.
